Readers Pages!

Wait until you see these pages.  These were sent by one of our fabulous readers, Monica.  Monica got inspired by our post about Working with Found Objects.

In this first page she recycled the wrapper that goes around a to-go cup of coffee.  She snipped it into pieces and created a border. She also tucked a few pieces in as an accent to her main photo. Super idea and it adds so much texture and just the right hint of masculinity to the page.
In this layout, Monica was looking for a way to create an element that looked like a tree trunk, to carry out her "ingrained" theme.  Here she used another recycled coffee cup wrapper. She first cut it into a square, then used a bracket punch on the edges.  A little bit of white chalk ink and ta-da, a tree has grown!  I really love how she placed her journaling on green strips of paper above and below the tree. Looks just like the leaves above and the grass below.

Isn't this page darling?  I love the expression on her son's face in the photos.  The page is all about him getting to try chewing gum. The border she created at the top is just so cute. The pieces of paper look like sticks of gum.  Check out this creative found object......  See that accent flower?  Guess what it is made out of?
Yep, gum wrappers!  I can remember making bracelets and coasters out of  them when I was young.  Monica searched the Internet and found some info on making these gum wrapper chains.  She has shared how to make it into a flower on her blog "Scraplifters Anonymous".  Take some time to stop by and check it out.

Thanks Monica for sharing your creative pages with us!
